Knots: how to tie a Prusik

your instructions give three illustrations to demonstrate the Prusik. The second illustration is wrong. It is impossible to get from picture 2 to picture 3 without removing the small line and starting again. The accompanying description for picture 2 is also wrong
The correct procedure is
1. pass a bight of the smaller rope over the larger
2. pass the remainder of the prusik loop beneath the larger rope and through the bight
3. Repeat stage 2 and tighten off to produce a copy of the knot in your third illustration
