best conditions

Hello All,
I'm a newbie to this forum and the waters of the upper bay. And being on it in general. I have been studying the differences in surface conditions, with wind and tides, traffic, and seaweed (haha). I feel like I've learned a bit, but still have trouble identifying ideal conditions ie: flatwater from the flats to conowingo lake. Other than going for a look see of course. Can someone advise me on the best way to do this with weather info online, or some other surface conditions etc. I truly feel that any day by the water is a good day, but sometimes I wanna be on the glass. I do spend alot of time browsing on weather.com, but i just dont seem to have it figured out yet. Best conditions for flatwater: wind direction, wind speed (i know, no wind at all makes flat water) tides? do they make it churn actually?

REally enjoying this site, hope to hang out. tia
