This is the worst shoe I have ever had the misfortune of putting on my feet. In less than 30 minutes and one mile of walking in these shoes and I had a quarter sized bloody blister on both heels. Run don't walk away from these shoes.

They looked good, They even felt okay when I tried them on. They had a open drainage along the instep that would easily drain out water. The drainage ports were covered by a fine mesh that would prevent little rocks from getting in. They had rounded soles that would be comfortable when resting the foot on the bottom of the kayak with no sharp corners to turn an ankle when scrambling over wet rocks. They had a sticky rubber outsole for good traction. It looked like the perfect water shoe from a company with a great reputation for river sandals. What was not to like?

Then I put them on and went out for a walk. I got about 15 minutes down the road and I started to feel chafing on the back of the heel. The snug fit of the heel cup and the stiff plastic on the outside of the heel cup left no room for play in the shoe. This might be useful for keeping the shoe on in mud but the damn thing was rubbing me raw. I tried loosening the laces, tightening the laces. Nothing brought any relief. I turned around and headed home. After only 30 minutes and less than a mile of walking in these shoes I had two of the ugliest looking large blisters I have ever had. These shoes had created nasty problems in less time and less distance than any shoe I had ever put on my feet. They are going back to the store as soon as I get them back in the box.
