Rescues & Rolling

An advanced rescues course prepares you for the worst the sea has to throw at you, whether you're out for a day trip or a week long expidition.

There will come a time when you or someone you're paddling with will need to perform a rescue. Don't go paddling alone and especially don't go paddling unprepared!

After completion of this course you will have the training you need to confidently pursue your kayaking goals in a much more confident and safe manor.

Some of the topics covered include:
High & Low bracing
T and TX Rescue
Eskimo bow rescue
Eskimo paddle presentation
Hand of God rescue
Scoop rescue
Paddle float rescue (Hands Only Method)
Paddle float rescue (Deck Rigging Method)
Paddle float rescue (Stirup Method)
All-In capsize drill

While rolling a kayak can be a great way to save yourself from an unexpected capsize, it's also just plain fun! We can teach intermediate and advanced paddlers with good bracing skills to roll a kayak using either standard euro-paddles or traditional Greenland wooden paddles. In either case, we will put you on your way to having the bomb-proof roll you always wanted.

Rolls available for teaching are the Eskimo, Styr, Butterfly, C to C, Screw Roll, Sweep, Sculling, Storm Roll and several others.
Deep Water Storm Roll.....
